The Associated Press reports that weekend FBI and ATF raids in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana took away eight members of a Christian militia called the Hutaree militia. The individuals in question were allegedly plotting to kill members of local law enforcement and then kill other officers at their subsequent funerals, according to federal agents. As a form of preventive maintenance, the weekend raids were carried out. Many other unaffiliated Christian militia groups like the Southeast Michigan Volunteer Militia will believe the Hutaree militia is “too extreme” or so says the AP.
What is the Hutaree Christian militia interested in?
The Hutaree militia Christian’s web site, they state that members “are prepared to defend all those who belong to Christ and save those who (don’t).” It is still unclear if or not the action prepare against the law enforcement was in related to preparation for the Second Coming or not, but the Hutaree group says they “will one day see (their) enemy and meet him on the battlefield if so God wills it.” It would be discouraged to use payday cash advances for weapons in this battle.
Conspiracy to attempted use of WMDs are charged
The two Ohio residents, six Michigan residents, and one Indiana resident can be charged with “seditious conspiracy, attempted use of weapons of mass destruction (an Improvised Explosive Device, or IED), teaching the use of explosive materials, and possessing a firearm during a crime of violence,” as stated by the AP. Released to public record are the Department of Justice Press Release and the indictment.

Neighbors didn’t know who they really were and thought they were “nice”
It may be much more indicative of what Robert Frost meant when he wrote about how “Good fences make good neighbors” than it speaks of the quality of the character of the various members of the militia group called Hutaree militia. As they see it, the Hutaree militia seems to make the extreme interpretation of the Bible a way of coping with the “New World Order,” speaking of lessons from literature.
So what shall this teach us? We should take Jonathan Swift’s “A Modest Proposal” as gospel and eat children to deal with the overpopulation if we are going to follow the word of literature. Of course that is ridiculous, and Swift wrote it as a satire. Perhaps our modern society would be better off with “1984″ as a model. Wait, that is exactly the kind of totalitarian regime that the Christian militias such as the Hutaree militia would contest. And if they opted not to lay down their arms – would it change to a Hutareetocracy? Would a chorus of “Onward, Christian Soldiers” be requisite before applying for no faxing payday loans?
